Mr. Seelig has 24 years of law enforcement experience. He has spent his entire career with the El Paso Police Department working various assignments. The majority of the time spent as a police officer was his assignment to the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit. Other assignments include; Central Regional Command Center (Patrol Division), C.R.A.S.H. Unit (gang unit), Auto Theft Task Force, and Metro Bicycle Patrol. Mr. Seelig earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Park University in 2013. He was a certified police instructor through the state of Texas (TCOLE) and instructed many courses such as; Firearms, Use of Force, Less Lethal Munitions, Mobile Field Force, Active Shooter, and other tactical courses. Two weeks after retiring from the El Paso Police Department in 2016, Mr. Seelig was hired by the El Paso Independent School District as a law enforcement teacher at CCTE (Center for Career Technology Education). Mr. Seelig is now sharing his knowledge and experience to the students he teaches, making those who are willing to be law enforcement officers to be the best they can be through integrity, honesty, respect and courage.
